In case you missed it, I’m Michael. I’m an event photographer in Minneapolis, and I make pictures that get people’s attention.

Here’s the thing about events: they’re designed for the people in the room, not users on Instagram. From concerts to MTB races, there’s always energy, personality, and stories worth telling. But those stories don’t translate into pictures easily.

That’s where I come in. I look for the people, atmosphere, and little details that make an event what it is—and put them into photographs that have something to say.

Phone photos are great for capturing the moment. I’m after something more evergreen: engaging images that stand out on social media and keep working for you long after the event is over.

Oh and, here’s actually a little bit about me. I like hiking and shawarma. In fact, I’ve had shawarma on four continents. Often after a hike.
